About my work: blue/cloud study
Elena Khurgina comes from a musical perspective; her work correlates with improvisation and has a connection to silence, pause, breathing, notation, and rhythm. In her mixed media installation with the working title :blue / cloud study: , she experiments with sounds, languages, images, and video, capturing fleeting moments of life. What may appear worthless from the outside can, in truth, be the most valuable and change the course of life:
“Like a moment when you speak to yourself and understand something, but cannot yet put it into words. – Brief moments of silence. A sideways glance to pause in the endless flow. To breathe in and out. In silence, we hear ourselves best.”
